The thematic core of the song centers on spiritual sanctification through human restlessness, pointing toward the ultimate redemption and glorification by Christ, the King of Glory, leading believers to the eternal gates of heaven. Lyrically and compositionally, the track bridges historic faith perspectives with scripture:

  • Inspirations: Josh Snyder contributes Robert Frost and C.S. Lewis-inspired spoken word segments that build upon Wilton’s interpretation of Saint Augustine’s famous reflection, “Our hearts are restless until they rest in You, oh God.”

  • Scriptural Foundation: Wilton McKinley Glenn shaped the songwriting, composition, and vocals around Matthew 11:28–30, which reads, “Come to me, all you who are weary and heavy laden, and I will bring you rest.”

Production and Visuals The release is accompanied by a cinematic music video produced with the assistance of 4eyesproduction and Josh’s specialized techniques. The project marks Wilton McKinley Glenn's first Film and Video Production integration of AI-generated artwork into his artistry, with video editing, production, and mastering completed by Wilton using Final Cut Pro X, a trade he has carried since Youth.

Wilton McKinley Glenn’s single “Restless” has surpassed 10,000 streams on Spotify and over 14,000 streams on YouTube. Alongside this milestone, Wilton was accepted onto VEVO with an Official Artist Channel, featuring releases like the “Faithful” remix and “Restless” (Radio) and more coming soon.

Reflecting on his journey, Wilton highlights his background as a Bachelor of Science graduate in Electronic Media & Film from Towson University, where he previously served as a news and technical director overseeing over 40 students, alongside extensive freelance video and sports production experience there, at the Baltimore Ravens, and with Seminole Productions at FSU formerly in baseball, basketball, and football in many different roles. Recalling his early days producing commercial projects, he notes how his path shifted back to his guitar, piano, and worship music. Ultimately, he shares a message of personal transformation in faith, emphasizing that past identities matter far less than how one is viewed through the eyes of Jesus.

The song has been covered in the U.S.A.

“Your Heart” (Be Lifted High) is a 2026 debut release and comeback Christian and Indie rock track produced as a collaborative effort by multiple artists.

The song was co-written in 2014 through online sessions by Wilton McKinley Glenn alongside fellow lyricist songwriters and the main Davud Zade, with James Sargent, and Jesse Biondi as part of The Church Collective.

Production and Personnel

  • Vocals, Acoustic, and Keyboard: Wilton McKinley Glenn

  • Bass and Electric Guitar: Scott McDonough (who also contributed to "Beloved" and "Altar of My Heart")

  • Drums, Mixing, and Mastering: Geoff Weber, recorded at Clear Track Studios for the third time

Thematic Focus The track stems from the core experience of growing up in faith and continually exalting the Lord high above The Universe. Lyrically, it highlights that "The Lord is their hearts affection," through which believers experience "the power of His resurrection", a chorus written by Wilton.

“The Great Unknown”

“The Great Unknown” is a collaborative classic worship rock piece written by Jesse Biondi, Nate McKelvy, and Rafael Silva, & Wilton McKinley Glenn, with additional contributions from Davud Zade and feedback from Petri Nuaha.

Originally conceived in 2014 through an online worship songwriting group as part of "The Church Collective," the track reflects a long-term creative partnership. Jesse Biondi brought the core concept to light, while Wilton McKinley Glenn wrote the second verse, Nate McKelvy crafted the bridge, and contributors from around the world helped shape the final production.

After a 12-year journey and navigating a difficult season, Wilton revisited the concept. He arranged and composed multiple versions over time before collaborating with Nathan Massie in Scotland for mixing and mastering, alongside Egbe Peace, who assisted with drums from Africa. Musically, the track features a prominent keyboard and piano-driven flow, with Wilton providing the solo vocals and vocal harmonies. On this version, Wilton played the keys, piano, constructed the strings, bass guitar, and acoustic guitar.

Rather than explicitly mapping out the lyrics, Wilton leaves the scriptural connections for listeners, viewers, and readers to uncover and test against scripture. The release is accompanied by a custom visualizer put together by Wilton as a companion to the music. Here are a few:

Revelation 4:8 (Bridge / "Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty") — This passage describes the heavenly creatures surrounding the throne and unceasingly declaring, "Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!"

  • Ephesians 3:18-19 (Verse / "Wanna go even deeper inside Your love") — This verse speaks of being able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height, and to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge.

  • Psalm 42:7 (Chorus / "The waves of Your love crashing over me") — This verse reflects the imagery of being overwhelmed by God's presence, matching the phrase, "Deep calls unto deep at the noise of Your waterfalls; all Your waves and billows have gone over me."

By blending these collaborative singles and instrumental scores into a single collection, the album serves as a comprehensive showcase of the Will & The Word Worship project's musical and spiritual vision.

Faithful (Remix) (Feat. Wilton McKinley Glenn, Malachi Baca) Will & The Word Worship Vol. 2

“Faithful” is a collaborative worship remix that brings together a diverse array of musical talents and deep spiritual reflections. Originally composed by Texas-based instrumental worship artist and Gen Z talent and artist Malachi Baca, the track was co-produced by Wilton McKinley Glenn and Logan Hill, representing BSSM and Elevation Worship Church Artistry mentor to Producing Mastery.

Musical Composition and Production While the song is rooted in the instrumental worship genre, the remix elevates the original composition through Wilton's added musical layers & yrics. By introducing soaring symphonic string arrangements, electric guitar elements, and his own vocal performance, the track is transformed into a sweeping, beautiful symphony that complements its profound lyrical message, founded upon Malachi’s base.

Thematic Focus and Personal Journey Lyrically, "Faithful" is deeply personal to Wilton McKinley Glenn. The songwriting was born out of a difficult season characterized by a need for the Holy Spirit's supernatural healing—both internally and externally—to address life circumstances entirely beyond his control. Drawing parallels to the biblical story of the prodigal son returning home, the lyrics explore themes of time, patient healing, and surrender.

The creation of this track coincided with a major life milestone for Wilton. This spiritual journey served to solidify his true identity in Christ, emphasizing that a believer's ultimate worth is found in their relationship with God, rather than in their occupation, worldly achievements, or social media presence.

Scriptural Foundation The spiritual anchor of "Faithful" is the enduring faithfulness of God to those who remain in fellowship with Jesus Christ. The track's themes are directly inspired by foundational verses from Corinthians:

  • “God is faithful, and by him you were called to fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.” (1 Corinthians 1:19)

  • ”God is faithful and will not let you be tried beyond your strength.” (1 Corinthians 1:9)

Release and Project Context "Faithful" serves as the third feature in the six-song project, The Will & the Word Worship Vol. 2. Recognizing Malachi Baca's role as the primary composer, the track's official VEVO release is hosted on Malachi’s YouTube channels, celebrating the successful, cross-generational collaboration behind this powerful worship anthem.

“Jesus It’s You” is a deeply personal and collaborative worship track co-written by Wilton McKinley Glenn and Tommy Niemann from Jacksonville, Florida. The song originally took shape during a Worship Leaders Collective songwriting session, after which Wilton carefully refined and finalized the verses and overall structure over time.

The spiritual foundation of the track serves as Wilton’s “birthday Psalm.” Celebrating his birthday he drew direct inspiration from Psalm 28:7-8: “The Lord is my rock, refuge, strength and shield.” This scripture became the cornerstone of the chorus and the initial catalyst for his and Tommy's writing process. Tommy sings it better.

Musical Composition and Production The track features a striking piano composition that Wilton developed alongside Malachi Baca earlier in 2024. Production was handled in collaboration with Nashville’s Soto Studios and their affiliated music team. Later, in the fall of 2024 (around September/October), Wilton and Soto Studios reworked the track specifically for a radio release.

Release and Reception Released fittingly during Wilton’s birthday month, the project holds significant emotional weight. The accompanying artwork does justice to the song's grand scope, visualizing Jesus in the heavens above an endless sky. With a melodic vibe designed to resonate deeply with listeners, "Jesus It's You" encourages audiences to seek refuge and run into the arms of Jesus, both in the truth of scripture and in everyday reality.

Altar of My Heart Artwork logos.jpg

“Altar of My Heart” by Will & The Word Worship has achieved remarkable success, maintaining its status as a #1 hit their Spotify throughout 2025 and 2026.

The track features Wilton McKinley Glenn ("Will"), Serenity Ball, Scott McDonough, and producer/artist Dylan Ronan, released under Will and The Word Worship Music. This celebrated single was recorded during the group's second visit to Clear Tracks Studios. Remarkably, the team fully completed the song during a single, highly enjoyable 10-hour studio session.

“Restless” (Radio) is a collaborative worship track by Wilton McKinley Glenn and Will & The Word Worship, featuring guest artist Josh Snyder alongside a team of Nashville musicians with Soto Studio productions.

The song's central theme explores the journey of being sanctified through human restlessness, pointing toward ultimate redemption and glorification by Christ at the gates of Heaven. Lyrically, the track bridges classic literary and theological reflections with biblical scripture. Josh Snyder delivers a spoken-word performance inspired by the styles of Robert Frost and C.S. Lewis, and Will expands upon Saint Augustine’s famous assertion: “Our hearts are restless until they rest in You, Oh God.”

This historical reflection is securely anchored by the song's primary scriptural foundation, Matthew 11:28-30. Chosen by Wilton McKinley Glenn during the writing process, the passage reinforces the track's message with Jesus's invitation: “Come to me all you who are weary and heavy laden, and I will bring you rest.”

The Name of Jesus.jpeg

“The Name of Jesus” is a peaceful yet powerful worship track characterized by a soothing, lo-fi vibe and piano arrangement performed by the Wilton. Thematically, the song focuses on finding calm amidst life’s personal storms—such as depression, anxiety, and mental stress—by recognizing and relying on God’s power.

The track draws deeply from biblical narratives to reinforce its message. It anchors its theological foundation in Exodus 3, recognizing God as the great “I AM,” and parallels the story in Matthew 14, where Peter and the disciples face a storm at sea and Peter summons the faith to walk on water. Through these scriptural references, the song encourages listeners to place their complete faith, trust, and obedience in Jesus, viewing Him as the ultimate Master, Navigator, and Captain capable of guiding them through any turbulence. Their is also a Revelations passage to this song…

Co-produced by Nashville’s Soto Studios, the track has resonated strongly with listeners, accumulating over 10,000 streams on Spotify to date.

Wilton McKinley Glenn: Music, Worship, Theology, and the Story of Will & The Word Worship Music

1. Beginning: Youth, Faith, and First Notes

Wilton McKinley Glenn — known to most from the stage as "Will" — traces the arc of his calling back to early musical and spiritual formation.

At the age of 11, he began taking piano lessons. Those early hours at the keys gave him a foundation in melody, harmony, and discipline that would later shape his songwriting and worship leading.

At age 15, he picked up guitar. Adding guitar expanded how he could lead and write — from congregational strumming to more expressive worship arrangements.

At age 16, two defining moments happened in the same year: he became involved in youth choir, and he came to salvation. The choir gave him a place to use his voice corporately, learning blend, dynamics, and how music carries theology. His salvation at 16 anchored all of that musical gifting in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and it set the trajectory for music not just as art, but as worship "in spirit and in truth" (John 4:24).

From there, Wilton kept building. He would later describe himself as "a guy who can sing and play from choir 'some kinda tenor 2 whose okay at guitar and keys'" — a nod to both his vocal and instrumental roots. Yes, he can play bass, but he only likes to play it by Numbers…

2. Education and Formation: Theology Meets Media

Wilton’s path was not just musical. He pursued formal education that would connect his faith, communication, and art:

  • Samford University — Studied Religion

  • Florida State University — A.A. in Communication

  • Towson University — B.S. in Electronic Media & Film: TV, Video & Audio

  • St. Leo University — M.A. in Theology

  • Bethel Music College WorshipU Discovery Online — Songwriting, Production, Song Lessons, and Worship Team Dynamics and Leading student since April 2014

This mix matters. Religion and theology gave him doctrinal grounding. Communication and electronic media gave him tools for recording, production, and distribution. WorshipU gave him practical mentoring in modern worship culture. So did all of his friend's’ encouragement, discipleship, mentoring, evangelism, outreach, and time well spent.

He also names specific mentors and influences:

  • Kristian Stanfill and friends during his at Samford, 2002-2003

  • Jonny Diaz and FSU CRU friends, 2004-2006

  • Bethel Music community, especially through Shoreline Church friends and Mobile, AL WorshipU & VIP Nights since 2012 and online

  • Matt Maher, Matt Redman, Switchfoot, Mae, Copeland

In 2022 he was ordained as Rev. Dr. Wilton McKinley Glenn, II through the Universal Life Church for family and personal reasons, and he also counts friendship with USC Jesuits among his broader spiritual relationships since Saint Leo in 2015. He spent some time in 2020-2021 with Loyola Institute of Ministry out of New Orleans in the Masters of Pastoral Arts program in Digital Media and Youth/Young Adults during his post-theological formative years leading around Central, FL, during his time at Grace Point EPC while also with the studios in Central, FL creating and songwriting, singing, leading, and producing what is now “Will & The Word Worship.” He was never alone.

3. Ministry in the Church: 2014 Onward

Since 2014, Wilton has been serving in music ministry. His work has taken him across churches and worship gatherings, in this short but not all inclusive list:

  • Tampa, FL, Lithia, Grace UMC, Bass, Co-Lead week of Easter

  • Gainesville, FL, CityLight Church Guest Worship Lead

  • Fort Walton Beach, Destin, Gulf Breeze, Pensacola area churches

  • Keys at StoryPoint 1st Baptist Gulf Breeze & Santa Rosa Beach Men of Valor Conference keys, singing, & Musical Director

  • Pensacola Burn 24/7 Acoustic Guitar Worship Leading

  • Courts of Praise Fellowship Worship Nights & Burn 24/7s

  • Milton’s The River Ministries Worship Leading

  • Keys at the Anchor Church in Fort Walton Beach

  • Nativity Church in Brandon, FL, LIFETeen cajonist & acoustic guitarist

  • Bass at Lake Magdalene UMC in Tampa, FL

  • Bass, Acoustic Guitar & Keys at Next Level Church Brandon, FL

  • Bass, Acoustic & Electric Guitar at Gulf Coast City Church in Fort Walton Beach High School

  • Acoustic Guitar at the Freedom Band Service at Shalimar UMC

  • Blue Lake Emmaus & Chrysalis Music & Study/Faith teams from 2001-2006

Those decades of local church service is the lab where his theology of worship was tested: leading congregations, writing for the room, and learning to surrender "my will to God and continue worshiping Him in spirit and in truth, not only on a platform, but through the music He has placed on my heart".

Musically, the sound sits in modern CCM and worship: piano-driven ballads, guitar-led congregational songs, ambient instrumentals like "His Love For Us (Instrumental)" + , and newer explorations like the "All of You (House Mix)" (Christian EDM) and some Christian Rock and Indie generes amongst Pop. Lyrics consistently center on Scripture themes: the name of Jesus, God’s faithfulness, surrender, and the presence of the Holy Spirit and the Love of God.

He is hands-on in all the things: singer/songwriter, composer, writer, performer, background vocals and coaching, strings, keys/piano, percussion instruction, orchestra, guitar, mixing and mastering engineering, art director, film director and executive producer, but he is not the only one amongst the musicians, artists, singers, and producers in the Brand. Since 2024 he has also been taking self-paced courses in production and audio engineering.

5. Theology of Worship

Wilton’s theology comes through both in his education and his lyrics. Key threads:

1. Surrender and Will of God: The very name "Will & The Word" points to surrendering personal will to God’s Word. He writes about feeling "deeply inspired by Jesus Christ to surrender my will to God".

2. Faithfulness and Love: "God you are so good / You’re always faithful". "His Love For Us" centers on God’s steadfast love.

4. Scripture-Driven: He cites Ephesians 1:16 in his fundraising: "I thank our God upon every remembrance of You" everyday. His work is licensed under CCLI, meaning it’s intended for church use.

5. No AI in music and lyrics: A distinctive note in 2025-2026 is his public stance as registered with the international church license usage in recording as well as songwriting: "there is no AI in Wilton McKinley Glenn’s music per Christian Copyright Licensing International, Inc.’s Songwriter Tier 4 lyrics or music production”. Explicitly. Only art is allowed, and as a Film grad, he sticks to that policy.

He describes the goal as making "the sound for heaven on earth" and from his lessons as a youth, “to know Him and make Him known” (Isaiah 26:8) … Passion…as well as his instructions from his onlnine courses from Bethel Music College in WorshipU Online since 2014.

6. Founding Will & The Word Worship Music LLC

How it began:
Wilton co-founded the "Will & The Word Worship" brand and band idea with a team of collaborators, including Maria Cress, Scott McDonough, and Serenity Ball. That core group helped shape the early sound and vision.

Legal structure:
There are two connected entities:

  1. Will and The Word Music, Inc. — a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) Private Foundation. This is the charitable side where donations are tax-deductible.

  2. Will & The Word Worship Music, LLC — the separate legal bracket for the brand, publishing, and production work. Songs are copyrighted under this LLC and his name.

Wilton serves as Creative Arts Worship Director and Founded the organization.

Why it was founded:
From the start, the mission was to create and share worship music birthed from local church ministry and personal devotion, and to steward it professionally. Since 2014 he’s been publishing works, and the LLC structure allows him to work with Nashville teams +, hire session musicians, produce videos in the Fort Walton Beach/Destin area or from elsewhere, and involve local or remote musicians, mixers, and masters and travel. He even loves traveling just to help out with a Sunday service which has been quite often in his 20 + years.

Fundraisers explicitly state the purpose if needed: cover pre-production, home studio upgrades to "Nashville-level standards," distribution, website, marketing, PR, female vocal accompaniment, outsourced Nashville or other studio sessions, live in studio sessions, and video production or remote production costs. A 2024-2025 fundraiser asked for around $800 to support the latest written song “Jesus It’s You” for his birthday last Oct. 2025 already finished lyrically in collaboration as "Will & The Word Worship Music, LLC".

Current work in 2026:
He’s producing more projects with friends, while continuing to release through his distributor and maintain the website and social links and back end administrative musical registry work, like Songtrust.

Thank you God for Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit’s breath in my lungs to experience You, Y’shua, and all of these things. May I grow “to know You more and make You Known” “For His Name and His Renown (Is. 26:8) and “For the Sake of The World” “As Heaven is on Earth”… I will continue to release “The Sound of Heaven” as taught by many of my peers, friends, and role models, but mostly by, the Holy Spirit. Love God. Love Each Other, Love The World. That’s all it takes to fulfill the Great Commission.

~”Do what you Love. Love what You Do. Love Others”.
